The Shepherd’s Conference. It is nearly a month away and I can’t help but wait for the fellowship, preaching, and teaching that takes place there. Every thousands of preachers, deacons, and laymen descend to California and receive the encouragement to preach the gospel faithfully. From the promotional video on the site is to preach the Word with sound teaching.
Our church at Beaverton Grace Bible Church sends a group of men to the conference. It always is a good time of fellowship, learning God’s Word, and evangelism. So I would encourage you to go and perhaps meet up with us if you are of like heart and mind.
The Shepherd Conference has been such a blessing. I wanted share with you a few notes from Alex montoya’s message on evangelism. I do want to point out about these notes that they may not reflect Pastor Montoya’s view. It is clear that Pastor Montoya’s preaches the gospel both in the pulpit and publicly.
Uniqueness of Christ Acts 2:14-23
The Universal lostness if mankind (Acts 2:40)
The Atoning Work (Acts 4:12)
Eternal Consequence of sin (Acts 17:31)
Repentance and Faith (Acts 2:38)
Clear Call to Union with Christ and His Church (Acts 2:40-45)
Every year our local church heads down to the Shepherds Conference. It is open to Pastors and Laymen from local churches to get further equipping to minister in their local church. The Shepherds Conference is a all about preaching. 2 Timothy 4:2 says preach the word and that is exactly what the men down there do. Below is an idea of what takes place at the shepherds conference in the words of John MacArthur.
During this conference I hope to write about our time down there both before and during. You can also view past messages by creating an account on the conference website.
